Below is the official message with which the two envoys of the Bulgarian Protest Network – Ivo Bozhkov and Vassil Garnizov are leaving today for the Ukrainian capital Kiev. They will meet with representatives of local protest movements and students and will take part in the demonstrations to support the protests against the government in Ukraine.
A quarter of a century ago, Ukrainians and Bulgarians tore themselves away from the arms of the Soviet occupation. Ever since, both of our nations have been walking on a common, thorny path, so you must know that we accept you as the brothers that we really are.
We are facing the same bloodthirsty monster that yet again tries to steal the most valuable thing we possess – our freedom! Fight bravely, fight to the end, and do not give up!
Whatever happens know that revolted Bulgaria stands with you. We are certain in the European future of Ukraine, the success of your just revolution and we continue fighting here for the European future of Bulgaria.
