I am writing this because I see a risk of irrepairable damages to the protest. Damages caused by despair or by impatience.

1. Stop wondering how and if the next day of protests will trigger the resignation of the government. Oresharski has already fallen. The battle is not against him but against the mafia whose puppet he is. The mafia is only getting stronger.
2. The protest is in crisis. Take this as something natural and don’t make a drama of it. Another peak will come: this government has proved it cannot avoid stepping on mines.
3. While the protest is in crisis, the most critical issue is to preserve its high morals: no compromises should be agreed that could make the government resign faster. It is not important whether GERB or the president would appreciate the protest. It is they who should strive to be appreciated by the protesters.
4. Remember that the protest was initially supported by 92% of Bulgarians, including supporters of BSP, Ataka, etc. The propaganda managed to temporarily turn over public attitudes, but they will go back to their natural state. What is important is to wage a battle against the mafia, and not against the supporters of BSP, MRF, and Ataka. The propaganda is trying to present the protest as a conflict between the opposition and those in power. This is not true. This is a protest by all Bulgarians against the mafia.
5. The protest should have no leaders. I beg all those who bear a huge part of the necessary organizational work for the protest, and who are my friends, to forgive me for this statement. Don’t let anybody force on you the status of leaders – revolutions inevitably devour their own children.
6. Nothing will be accomplished without radicalization. But radicalization will evolve naturally and there is no need to force it.
7. When radicalization is ripe, parties and behind the scenes agents will try to use the protests – just like they did in February 2013. At that point, it would be crucial for the protests to have preserved their high morals and to select highly respected people (who would hardly be among the organizers of the protests). The people will appeal to the common sense and citizens will follow them.
8. Accept that these protests would not resolve anything. They are just the beginning of a long battle for a better society, a battle that would last for years.
9. In this battle, parties, media, haters, peasants, communists are our unexpected ally. They always follow the smart, the handsome, the successful. They are not going to come to us. But they will try themselves to become smarter, richer and more handsome. And again it will turn out that 92% of the nation support the protest and its values.
10. In 10 years none of you will be a politician, nor would contemplate on the issues that we currently debate. Each one of us will practice their profession. And if we can all do our work at peace, and the state, the mafia and the ‘mutri’ (red-necks) do not mess with us, then the protest would have won. And after 10 more years, the next generation will start its own protest against the state that we have built.
